UI Designer / Information Architect Back to introduction

Eventful, Inc. provides the leading service for discovering, sharing, promoting and creating local events throughout the world. We are looking for a UI Designer / Information Architect who brings an innovative and disciplined approach to creating a successful user experience for consumer-focused products.

Responsibilities:

This position will serve as the primary UI/IA person within Eventful's Product Management team.

  • Work closely as a member of the product team to create wireframes for new and existing website, widgets, apps and email products and explore and develop new product ideas.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to examine existing products and identify opportunities for improvement. Define and execute specific solutions to enhance the product.
  • Develop interactions for a successful user experience in Eventful's multi-channel engagements with users as well as in and in apps and widgets in social networks including MySpace and Facebook.
  • Drive user testing and quantitative analysis for development of new products and continued evaluation of existing products.
  • Establish and maintain interaction style guide.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years interaction design experience
  • Proven success in designing complex web-based interactions
  • Expert wireframing skills (e.g., Visio, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Strong HCI / user-centered design background
  • Robust analytical skills with Web usage metrics
  • Familiarity with current and cutting-edge technologies/approaches
  • Experience in conducting usability tests and evaluating results
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required
